What do I work for?

Do I work for money or do I work for my family?

These last few months have been great but also stressful. As mentioned in previous posts, I wrapped up my internship at IBM and received an offer. After my internship I couldn’t wait to hear what my offer was. Role, location and salary were so important to me. After I found out what my salary would be I was amazed! I am money hungry but this last week I reflected on the question why? Why am I money hungry? Do I work for Money or do I work to take care of my family WITH money?

Reading this weeks material helped me realize that money is just something that helps takes care of your money. But there are other things much more important that can accomplish the same thing. Putting God before anything will make my life and my family’s life the happiest it can be. It is something that money cannot buy. I made a vow in my work career to always do what is best for my family, not myself or anyone else.
