A few weeks ago I had a tough experience with choosing between my family and work.

My manager called me into the office one day to talk to me. He said he needed me to go to a conference in Las Vegas. I said sure! I asked him what were the dates. The dates for the conference were during Halloween.. my heart sunk. I forgot that I had made plans with my wife to go down to Utah.. I was torn because my boss really needed me to go and I knew if I went, I would be on his good side the rest of the year. I had to make a split decision in that moment. Keeping my promise to my wife to go to Utah or take the work opportunity.

I decided to choose my family over work. We went to UT and had a blast. I came back to work the next week and found out that the Las Vegas conference was cancelled due to covid.. I knew the Lord would bless me when choosing the most important part of his plan which is family. I am so grateful I had the chance to go through something like this to learn my lesson and see the hand of the Lord in my life.
